Born with a lifetime supply of lust for music, Arturo Maia began his DJing career back in '97, pioneering into Mexico's psychedelic trance scene. He is well-known for being in the vanguard, and always being on the look-out for that ever-refreshing sound that also reflects his maturity as a DJ; that's why even though he's considered the Mexican head honcho and quite a figure among the international psytrance scene, he's been playing around with other music trends for years and has succeeded in preserving the essence of his distinctively innovative, groovy and pumping, yet trippy style. His talent and deep involvement in the worldwide electronic music scene have proven him one of the most respected Mexican DJs around. He's been seen spinning in cities such as London, Tokyo, Tel Aviv, Los Angeles and San Francisco, as well as at some high-profile festivals such as the SOS in Japan, Turkey's Soulclipse, and the Earthdance in Costa Rica. He's played in every possible corner in Mexico, including some of the country's most recognized events such as the Aca World Sound Fest, Cumbre Tajín, Festival Vive Latino, Union Fest, New Year's Eve Son Pax Cancun, from 2001 to 2006 , Son Pax Acapulco, and of course, Maia's own Time and Space Festival. A true space captain, Arturo will always be prepared to take you into the depths of infinity.


Arturo Maia se ha caracterizado por estar al filo de la vanguardia, siempre en busca de nuevos beats y sonidos que reflejen su madurez como dj; por ello, a pesar de ser considerado toda una figura del psytrance, actualmente ha adoptado nuevas tendencias del techno, progressive y tech house como propias, logrando conservar la esencia de su distintivo estilo: propositivo, groovy y muy prendido. Su talento y notable participación dentro de la escena electrónica lo han colocado como uno de los DJs más respetados y de mayor trayectoria de nuestro país. Con doce años de experiencia, se ha presentado en ciudades como Londres, Tokio, Tel Aviv, Los Ángeles y San Francisco, así como en algunos de los mejores festivales que se realizan a nivel internacional como el SOS en Japón, el Soulclipse Festival en Turquía y el Earthdance Festival en Costa Rica. En México se ha presentado en todos los rincones de la República, incluyendo importantes eventos como el Aca World Sound Fest, Cumbre Tajín, Festival Vive Latino, Union Fest, New Year's Eve Son Pax Cancún del 2001 al 2006 , Son Pax Acapulco y por supuesto el Festival Time and Space.
